Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca:

Your adventure begins with pickup from Mohammed V Airport or your hotel in Casablanca. If time permits, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque β€” a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship that sits dramatically on the edge of the Atlantic. Later, stroll the Corniche and enjoy your first Moroccan evening.

Overnight: Casablanca:

Day 2: Casablanca β†’ Rabat β†’ Chefchaouen
After breakfast, head to Rabat, Morocco's elegant capital. Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic. Continue north through the rolling Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen β€” the Blue Pearl of Morocco. In the afternoon, wander its blue-painted alleys, browse artisan shops, and watch sunset from the Spanish Mosque viewpoint.
Overnight: Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknès → Fes:

Leave the blue city behind and travel south to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Walk among remarkably preserved mosaics, arches, and columns that date back to the 3rd century BC. Next, visit Meknès, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, with its grand Bab Mansour gate, granaries, and royal stables. By late afternoon, arrive in Fes.
Overnight: Fes.

Day 4: Full-Day Guided Tour of Fes:

Today is dedicated entirely to Fes β€” Morocco's cultural and spiritual heart. A local guide leads you through the labyrinthine Fes el-Bali Medina (a UNESCO site). See the Chouara Tannery, the Al Quaraouiyine University (the world's oldest), the intricately decorated Bou Inania Medersa, and the bustling souks where craftsmen shape copper, leather, and ceramics by hand. Don't miss the ceramic quarter and a rooftop view over the ancient city.
Overnight: Fes

Day 5: Fes β†’ Ifrane β†’ Midelt β†’ Ziz Valley β†’ Merzouga:

Depart Fes and ascend into the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane β€” "Morocco's Switzerland" β€” then continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, the landscape shifts dramatically as you enter the Ziz Valley, a green ribbon of palm groves winding through the desert. Pass through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise against the horizon.
Overnight: Merzouga:

Day 6: Merzouga Desert Experience & Camel Trek:

This is the day you've been waiting for. In the morning, explore the desert region β€” visit a nomadic family, hear traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and see the dramatic contrasts of the black volcanic desert. In the late afternoon, mount your camel and trek into the heart of Erg Chebbi β€” dunes reaching over 150 meters tall. Watch the sun sink into the sand in brilliant shades of orange, pink, and gold. Arrive at your desert camp for a traditional Moroccan dinner, drumming around the campfire, and a sky impossibly full of stars.
Overnight: Desert Camp, Erg Chebbi

Day 7: Merzouga β†’ Todra Gorge β†’ Dades Valley β†’ Ouarzazate:

Wake early to catch the sunrise painting the dunes. After breakfast, drive through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Todra Gorge β€” a spectacular canyon with sheer 300-meter walls, perfect for a short walk. Continue through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses (blooming each spring) towards Ouarzazate. Visit AΓ―t Benhaddou, the most famous ksar in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a backdrop for Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia.
Overnight: Ouarzazate.

Day 8: Ouarzazate β†’ High Atlas Mountains β†’ Marrakech:

On the final day, cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). Stop at panoramic viewpoints and traditional Berber villages along the way. Descend into Marrakech, where a guided tour introduces you to the magic of the Red City β€” the soaring Koutoubia Mosque, the opulent Bahia Palace, the tranquil Majorelle Garden, and the electric energy of Jemaa el-Fna Square.
